## Synopsis

Wanted (2016-2018) is an Australian crime drama series created by Richard Bell and Rebecca Gibney for the Seven Network. Rebecca Gibney plays Lola Buckley, who, alongside Geraldine Hakewill as Chelsea Babbage, is a stranger to her new partner after both women intervene in a fatal carjacking at a suburban bus stop. The engine of the series is simple and urgent: the two women are suddenly pursued by authorities across Australia while driving a vehicle filled with cash, and they must depend entirely on each other to stay ahead of the law and the people hunting them. Each episode moves briskly through chases, hideouts, and close calls, with the tension of the cash chase sustaining the story. Alex Dimitriades, Anthony Phelan, and Robyn Malcolm appear among the supporting cast as figures who complicate the pursuit. Across three seasons of six episodes each, the series keeps a continuing story where each season tightens the pressure. Set in contemporary Australia, its atmosphere is gritty and suspenseful, with a grounded, road-weary texture and a sharp sense of danger. Fans of Breaking Bad, Fargo, and Fugitive will find resonance in its blend of ordinary people caught in criminal escalation and relentless forward momentum.
