## Synopsis

Good Morning Call (2016-2017) is a Japanese teen romance series created by Yue Takasuka, Takashi Fujio and Keiko Kanome, produced by Fuji Television Network and distributed on Netflix. Haruka Fukuhara plays Nao Yoshikawa, a high school girl who finally gets an apartment of her own, only to find she must share it with the most popular boy in school, played by Shunya Shiraishi as Hisashi Uehara. Their central engine is simple and sharp: they must keep the arrangement hidden from every classmate, so each morning, each shared meal and each chance encounter in the hallway becomes a small test of discretion. Yosuke Sugino, Moe Arai and Kentaro Ito fill out the classroom circle, adding friendship rivalries and romantic crosscurrents that thicken the cast. The series runs across two seasons totaling twenty-seven episodes, built as a light, episodic slice of life in which everyday school routines and domestic awkwardness carry the storytelling. Its tone is gently comic and warmly bittersweet, with a coming of age sensibility rooted in contemporary Japan. Fans of Kimi ni Todoke, Ouran High School Host Club and Fruits Basket will find resonance in its blend of adolescent romance and cozy comedy.
