## Synopsis

Doraemon (2005-present) is a Japanese television animated comedy series created for TV Asahi and produced by Shin-Ei Animation, Pierrot and TMS Entertainment, with a long-running slice of life tradition rooted in its source manga. Robotic cat Doraemon (voiced by Wasabi Mizuta) is sent back in time from the 22nd century to look after Nobita Nobi (voiced by Megumi Oohara), a lazy, uncoordinated ten-year-old whose future is troubled. Each episode is a self-contained short built around a secret gadget pulled from the pocket on Doraemon's stomach, and the fun comes from how those inventions, meant to help, almost always spiral into bigger trouble because of Noby's habit of misusing them. Shizuka Minamoto (Yumi Kakazu), Suneo Honekawa (Tomokazu Seki) and Takeshi Gouda (Subaru Kimura) orbit the story as classmates in a suburban elementary school neighborhood, where small schoolyard rivalries and everyday disappointments play out.
