## Synopsis

Paranormal Lockdown (2016-2018) is an American paranormal reality series created by Nick Groff and Katrina Weidman for Travel Channel. Paranormal investigator Nick Groff and his researcher Katrina Weidman, with Amy Bruni, Adam Berry and Tony Spera appearing in guest roles, spend 72 hours locked inside some of the most reportedly haunted places in America. The engine of each episode is the wait: the pair stay overnight with the dead, reasoning that the longer they remain, the more the spirits will communicate, and they document every sound, shadow and sensor reading in the dark. Many of the locations have never been filmed for television before, which gives the hunts a sense of discovery. Across four seasons and 36 episodes, the format stays a self-contained location-by-location investigation rather than a continuing story. The tone is eerie and curious, with a mix of suspense and earnest fascination in the investigators' voices. Fans of Ghost Adventures, Ghost Hunters and Most Haunted will find the same blend of night-vision dread and reality television access.
