## Synopsis

60 Days In (2016-2024) is an American reality docuseries created by Greg Henry for A&E. Its premise is a social experiment: seven volunteers, including Isaiah Jenkins, Jeffrey Downs, Tami Ferraiuolo, Robert Holcomb, Barbra Roylance Williams and Zac Baker, are sent into the general population of Indiana's Clark County Jail for 60 days without officers, fellow inmates or staff knowing their secret. The engine is observation under pressure: each participant must survive daily jail routines, tensions between inmates, and the constant risk of exposure while the cameras document what they see and how they cope. Across nine seasons and well over a hundred episodes, the show is built as a run of undercover stints rather than one continuing story, so each season reframes the same institution through new participants and fresh encounters. The setting is a rural Midwestern county jail, a place of cramped dayrooms, bunk-bed monotony and unpredictable confrontations. The tone is gritty and sober, with a blunt, observational register that foregrounds confinement, boredom and the thin line between fear and endurance. Fans of Lockup, Scared Straight! and Big Brother will find resonance in its mix of institutional access and human experiment.
