## Synopsis

Re:ZERO -Starting Life in Another World- (2016-2026) is a Japanese anime isekai series produced by White Fox for TV Tokyo and AT-X. Ordinary high school student Natsuki Subaru (voiced by Yusuke Kobayashi) is transported from a convenience store run into a strange fantasy realm, where the only person who reaches out to him is a silver-haired girl named Emilia (voiced by Rie Takahashi). Determined to repay her, Subaru joins her search for something she seeks, and his struggle is made harder by a cruel death-and-return mechanic that resets time after each fatal failure, forcing him to relive trauma while carrying the memories forward. Each episode layers danger, suspicion and political intrigue around the travelers, with a supporting cast that includes Puck (Yumi Uchiyama), Ram (Rie Murakawa) and Beatrice (Satomi Arai). The series runs as one continuous serialized story across 85 episodes, building a mystery of hidden agendas and concealed backstories. Its tone is heavy and melancholic, with moments of tenderness and dread that linger after each loop. Fans of Steins;Gate and Overlord will find resonance in its time loop structure and bleak fantasy atmosphere, and viewers who enjoy dense, rewatchable storytelling will find much to unpack.
