## Synopsis

Thou Shalt Not Kill (Non Uccidere) (2015-2018) is an Italian crime drama series created by Claudio Corbucci for Rai 3. Miriam Leone plays Valeria Ferro, a young and highly skilled inspector with the Turin Homicide Squad whose relentless intuition and obsession with the truth drive every case. Matteo Martari and Thomas Trabacchi co-star as fellow investigators on the squad, and their working relationships add friction to each investigation. Valeria is haunted by an adolescent wound: her mother was convicted of her father's murder, and that past keeps pulling at her present. The engine of the series is the inspector's pursuit of the truth through murder cases that test her colleagues and her own judgment, with each episode built around a fresh killing and its tangled inquiry. Told across two seasons and 36 episodes, the show moves between case work and personal history in a serialized arc. Set in contemporary Turin, it foregrounds a grey, rain-touched atmosphere of unease and moral weight. Its tone is tense, brooding and intimate, and its procedural rhythm rewards patient viewers. Fans of The Bridge, Broadchurch and Montalbano will find resonance in its blend of police work, dark mood and family secrets.
