## Synopsis

The Story of God with Morgan Freeman (2016-2019) is a American documentary docuseries created for National Geographic. Morgan Freeman hosts as himself, travelling across three seasons and fifteen episodes of roughly forty-five minutes each to ask how the world's religions picture life after death and how different civilizations imagined the act of creation. Rather than a dramatic narrative, the engine of the show is the host's personal search: he visits sacred sites, speaks with believers and scholars, and sets their answers beside scientific study to see where belief and evidence meet and part ways. Each episode is built around a single question, so the format feels like a guided tour of humanity's oldest arguments. The tone is reverent yet curious, unhurried and contemplative, with Freeman's warm narration carrying the viewer through intimate interviews and sweeping location shots. Its scope is global and its treatment is respectful toward faith traditions while remaining open-minded. Fans of Cosmos: A Spacetime Odyssey, Planet Earth and The Mystery of Life will find resonance in its blend of big-picture wonder, scientific curiosity and humane storytelling about the questions that have shaped human culture.
