## Synopsis

Lucky Romance is a South Korean romantic comedy that ran for sixteen episodes in 2016, adapted from a popular webtoon. Hwang Jung-eum plays Shim Bo-ni, a superstitious woman who believes her misfortune can spread to the people she loves and seeks ways to ward it off. Ryu Jun-yeol plays Je Soo-ho, a cold, math-minded tech CEO who trusts spreadsheets and openly scorns anything irrational. When Bo-ni proposes an unusual contract relationship to shield herself from bad luck, the two opposites are pulled into a deal that gradually grows more tender and complicated. The show's engine is the friction between her charms, rituals and omens and his data and certainty, played out amid glossy boardrooms, family rivalries and wealthy households. Supporting characters add warmth and comic complications around the leads. The tone is light, breezy and comforting, with playful banter, sweet moments and steady romantic tension. Viewers who enjoy opposites-attract romances, fake-dating setups and chaebol-tinged Korean dramas will find an easy, feel-good companion here.
