## Synopsis

Wrecked (2016-2018) is a American single-camera survival comedy created by Jordan Shipley and Justin Shipley for TBS. A diverse group of airplane crash survivors, led by Owen (Zach Cregger) and including Danny (Brian Sacca), Florence (Jessica Lowe), Pack (Asif Ali) and Steve (Rhys Darby), finds itself stranded on an uninhabited island. The engine of the show is the gap between the castaways' expectations and their reality: they must build a makeshift society, scrounge for food and shelter, and keep their fragile group together, all while missing indoor plumbing, Wi-Fi, social media and fast food. Most of the danger in each episode comes from the group's own bad decisions and petty rivalries, so the comedy is built on escalating self-inflicted chaos. The show runs for three seasons of ten episodes each, forming one continuing story rather than isolated case-of-the-week stories. Its tone is irreverent and breezy, with a deadpan, mocking take on survival-drama conventions. Fans of Lost, Gilligan's Island and Party Down will find resonance in its ensemble chemistry, satirical edge and sitcom pacing.
