## Synopsis

Frequency (2016-2017) is a US network science fiction drama created by Jeremy Carver for The CW. Detective Raimy Sullivan (Peyton List) is stunned when her long-missing father Frank Sullivan (Riley Smith) starts speaking to her through his old ham radio, his voice reaching her from 1996 across twenty years. Raimy works New York City cases alongside her partner Satch Reyna (Mekhi Phifer) while she and Frank try to reshape events so that a past tragedy does not claim the people they love. The engine of the series is that every change to the past seems to ripple forward, forcing Raimy to juggle a police caseload with a supernatural mystery that keeps shifting under her feet. The show runs for a single thirteen-episode season, with a serialized arc built around its time-altering premise and a procedural frame of individual cases. Its tone is suspenseful and emotional, mixing a crime procedural's grit with the warmth of a family reunion held together by a fragile signal. Fans of Dark, Timeless and Quantum Leap will find resonance in its blend of time travel puzzles and personal stakes. Atmosphere leans toward urban nights, static-filled radio calls and the tension of trying to fix a life that cannot stay still.
