## Synopsis

ReLIFE (2016) is a Japanese animated slice of life series created for Gunma TV, TOKYO MX and BS11 and produced by TMS Entertainment. Arata Kaizaki, a 27-year-old former office worker who quit his job and has become a NEET, is pulled into a strange rehabilitation scheme run by Ryou Yoake (voiced by Ryohei Kimura). Its mysterious drug makes him look young again and returns him to high school for a year. Arata (voiced by Kensho Ono) must navigate classmates and fellow participants including Chizuru Hishiro (Ai Kayano), Rena Kariu (Haruka Tomatsu) and An Onoya (Reina Ueda), rebuilding friendships and facing old insecurities while his adult self struggles with regret. The engine is quiet personal growth, built from everyday school routines, awkward crushes and small social victories. Told as a single 13-episode season, the series mixes light comedy with a gentle melancholic undertone and a wistful sense of lost time. Fans of Erased, Your Lie in April and Tsuritama will find resonance in its blend of coming of age warmth and reflective adult longing.
