## Synopsis

Brotherhood: Final Fantasy XV (2016) is a Japanese original net animation series produced by A-1 Pictures and Square Enix and released on Crunchyroll and YouTube. This five-episode spinoff, each roughly fourteen minutes long, runs alongside the video game Final Fantasy XV and centers on its royal heir Noctis Lucis Caelum with his friends Gladiolus, Prompto and Ignis. The engine is loyalty among companions as they move through a fantasy world of royal duty, swordplay and looming conflict. Each short episode is a compact action adventure, so the series works as a quick, self-contained side story rather than a sprawling saga. Its tone is brisk, earnest and atmospheric, with bright action beats tempered by melancholy about the fate of the kingdom. Set in an invented fantasy realm, it appeals to fans of role playing games. Fans of Castlevania and Devil May Cry will find resonance in its stylized action and video game roots.
