## Synopsis

New Game! (2016-2017) is a Japanese anime comedy series produced by Doga Kobo and based on the manga, aired on AT-X. Its protagonist, Suzukaze Aoba, a fresh high school graduate, joins Eagle Jump, the game company behind Fairies Story, the title she obsessed over as a child. Her voice actor is Yuuki Takada, and she is guided by senior staff member Toyama Rin, voiced by Ai Kayano, along with Yoko Hikasa as Kou Yagami and Megumi Yamaguchi as Hifumi Takimoto. The engine of the show is simple: Aoba learns the rhythms of office life, from crowded morning commutes to deadlines and team projects, while her colleagues bond over the games they build. Each episode is a light, self-contained slice of life with gags about coding, character design and office routines. Across two seasons of twelve episodes each, the story stays in one continuous workplace with gradual growth in its ensemble. The mood is cheerful, gentle and cozy, with warm humor and a sincere love of games. Fans of Hataraku Maou-sama!, Yuru Yuri and Non Non Biyori will find a similar comfort in its friendly, low-stakes world.
