## Synopsis

Lethal Weapon (2016-2019) is an American network action comedy crime series created by Matthew Miller for FOX. A slightly unhinged former Navy SEAL, Martin Riggs (Clayne Crawford), joins the Los Angeles Police Department and is paired with veteran detective Roger Murtaugh (Damon Wayans), a father who simply wants to keep his stress level low. Their engine is a clash of temperaments: Riggs's reckless tactics and volatile past keep stirring trouble, while Murtaugh tries to protect his family and his routine. Each episode is built around a case of the week, from gang shootings to kidnappings, with comic banter and explosive set pieces. Across three seasons and 55 episodes, the show balances police procedural crime work with domestic life at home and recurring character arcs in the department. Set in contemporary Los Angeles, the series carries a brash, breezy tone with bursts of action and warmth. Fans of the 1987 film Lethal Weapon, along with Brooklyn Nine-Nine and The Rookie, will find resonance in its mix of buddy chemistry, humor, and street-level police action. Its audience-rated run ended after its third season.
