## Synopsis

Elena of Avalor (2016-2020) is a Disney Channel animated fantasy series created by Craig Gerber for Disney Junior and Disney Channel. Teenage princess Elena (voiced by Aimee Carrero) has already saved her kingdom from an evil sorceress, but she must now learn to govern as a crown princess until she is old enough to take the throne. Her younger sister Isabel (voiced by Jenna Ortega) is a steady presence beside her, while Chancellor Esteban (voiced by Christian Lanz) and the magical companions Skylar, Migs and Luna (voiced by Carlos Alazraqui, Chris Parnell and Yvette Nicole Brown) keep the palace running and complicate her plans. Each episode is a self-contained adventure built from everyday obstacles of court life: a diplomatic dispute, a magical mishap or a lesson in responsibility, with a season-long thread following Elena's growth as a leader. Across three seasons and eighty-one episodes, the story moves at a brisk, cheerful pace. The show carries a warm, hopeful and gently comedic tone, colored by Latin American folklore and music. Viewers who enjoy Sofia the First, Encanto and The Legend of Korra will find similar appeal in its princess-centered magic and young heroine's coming-of-age.
