## Synopsis

Wire in the Blood (2002-2008) is a British crime drama series created for ITV1 and built around a clinical psychologist who helps the police hunt serial killers. Dr Tony Hill (Robson Green) has an uncanny ability to see into the minds of murderers, and that gift makes it hard for him to step away from the disturbing cases he is pulled into. Working alongside DCI Carol Jordan (Hermione Norris) and DS Kevin Geoffries (Mark Letheren), he uses profiling to narrow down suspects, while the detectives must test his theories against hard evidence. Each story unfolds across a set of episodes, with a case-driven engine and a recurring cast carrying the character drama between them. Spanning six seasons and thirty episodes, it is a serialized but case-led crime series set in present-day northern England, with bleak, atmospheric tones, a cerebral pace and a strong sense of psychological unease. Viewers who enjoy Mindhunter, Luther and psychological profiling thrillers will find much to admire in its dark, character-focused approach.
