## Synopsis

The Grand Tour (2016-2024) is a British reality travel comedy created by Jeremy Clarkson, Richard Hammond, James May and Andy Wilman for Prime Video. Hosts Jeremy Clarkson, Richard Hammond and James May travel the world on adventures that often involve cars, with Abbie Eaton appearing as a regular driver and Mike Skinner as The American. The engine of the show is the trio's combative friendship: each episode stacks outlandish challenges, road trips and expeditions with insults and rivalry, and the cars sometimes recede behind the antics. Across six seasons and forty-five episodes, the format shifts between studio segments and far-flung journeys, giving it a looser, sometimes rowdy shape than a traditional magazine show. The tone is breezy, irreverent and nostalgic for old motoring pleasures, with a cheeky, unpolished energy that some viewers find joyful and others find tiresome. Fans of Top Gear and Ice Road Truckers will find familiar resonance in its mix of automotive spectacle and presenter chemistry.
