## Synopsis

District 31 (2016-2022) is a Canadian French-language police procedural series created for ICI Radio-Canada Télé. Set in present-day Montreal, it follows detectives Nadine Legrand (Magalie Lépine-Blondeau) and Patrick Bissonnette (Vincent-Guillaume Otis) as the Montreal PD reassigns its investigators from headquarters to neighbourhood precincts in an effort to get closer to the public. The engine of the series is the friction of that move: the detectives must find their footing in an unfamiliar workplace, earn the trust of residents, and solve local cases while navigating colleagues including Bruno Gagné (Michel Charette) and Daniel Chiasson (Gildor Roy). Each episode centres on a new investigation, with personal lives and office politics building across six seasons. The tone is grounded and humane, with a steady, unshowy atmosphere. Fans of Law & Order and Quebec crime television will find resonance in its procedural rhythm and urban realism.
