## Synopsis

The Disastrous Life of Saiki K. (2016-2018) is a Japanese animated comedy series adapted from the manga by Shuichi Aso, produced by J.C.STAFF and broadcast across several networks including TV Tokyo. Its protagonist Kusuo Saiki, voiced by Hiroshi Kamiya, is a high school sophomore whose psychic talents range from telepathy to reality-bending, and who has sworn to keep them hidden. His goal is simple: an ordinary, quiet school day. The obstacles are his classmates, among them the boisterous Kaidou Shun (voiced by Nobunaga Shimazaki) and the fawning Teruhashi Kokomi (voiced by Ai Kayano), whose eccentricities keep pulling his secret toward exposure. Each episode is a sequence of short, self-contained gags built on his weary composure and the escalating chaos around him. Across two seasons of 24 episodes each, the series keeps a steady rhythm of mundane school situations inflated by supernatural overreaction. Its tone is deadpan, breezy and cheerfully irreverent, parodying shounen power fantasy while staying warm toward its cast. Fans of Mob Psycho 100, One Punch Man and Nichijou will find a similar blend of superpowered absurdity and everyday comedy.
