## Synopsis

Beyond (2017-2018) is an American science fiction drama created by Adam Nussdorf for Freeform. Holden Matthews (Burkely Duffield) wakes from a coma after twelve years to find his family and hometown changed around him, and he discovers newly awakened abilities that thrust him into a dangerous conspiracy. Willa (Dilan Gwyn) and Charlie (Eden Brolin) become his allies and confidants, while his brother Luke (Jonathan Whitesell) and parents Diane (Romy Rosemont) and Tom (Michael McGrady) anchor the emotional stakes of his return. The engine of the series is Holden trying to reclaim a normal life while hidden forces track what he can now do, so each episode mixes family tension with covert pursuit and escalating danger. Across two seasons of ten episodes each, it plays as a serialized young adult mystery rather than a case-of-the-week show. The tone is earnest and brooding, with a teen drama heart and a sense of unease about who is watching. Fans of Heroes, The Dead Zone and Under the Dome will find resonance in its blend of ordinary life disrupted by extraordinary power.
