## Synopsis

Something About 1% (2016) is a South Korean romantic comedy miniseries created by Hyun Go-Woon for Dramax. Across sixteen episodes of roughly forty minutes each, arrogant, handsome heir Lee Jae-In (Ha Seok-jin) is ordered by his grandfather to enter a ten month contract engagement with a schoolteacher he has never met. The woman at the center, Kim Da-Hyun (Jeon So-min), is strong willed and refuses to be bought, so the arrangement becomes a battle of wills under one roof. Jung Hyun-Jin (Im Do-yoon) and Soo-Jung (Lee Hae-in) add rival romantic tension, while Seo Ji-Hyang (Kim Sun-hyuk) and Han Joo-hee (Seo Eun-Chae) fill out the social circles around them. Each episode is built from bickering, misunderstandings, and small gestures that chip away at pride. The series is a Korean television drama with a classic rich man poor woman shape, a remake concept of contract romance, and a love hate register. Its tone stays light and breezy, warm and teasing, with a sincere romantic core. Fans of Boys Over Flowers, Full House, and My Love from the Star will find resonance in its wealthy heir, its class divide, and its slow burn affection.
