## Synopsis

Hooten & The Lady (2016) is a British adventure series created by Tony Jordan for Sky One. Michael Landes plays the roguish American adventurer Hooten, who travels the world alongside Ophelia Lovibond as the feisty Lady Alex Spencer-Parker, his partner in crime. Together they hunt for and try to save the world's lost treasures, moving from the Vatican to the Himalayas, the Amazon and Egypt. Each episode is built around a new locale and a new artifact, with rival parties and dangerous expeditions standing between the pair and their goal. Jessica Hynes, Shaun Parkes and Jonathan Bailey appear among the principal cast. The tone is playful and bantering, with a sense of old-fashioned swashbuckling fun and romantic tension between the leads. The eight-episode run, a single season, offers a light, escapist journey in the spirit of Indiana Jones and the Raiders of the Lost Ark and Romancing the Stone, suited to viewers who want globe-trotting treasure hunts with witty dialogue and exotic scenery. The series was canceled after its first season.
