## Synopsis

Midnight, Texas (2017-2018) is an American supernatural drama series created by Monica Owusu-Breen for NBC. Adapted from a novel series, it follows a remote Texas town where being different is ordinary. Vampires, witches, psychics and hit men shelter together in this mysterious safe haven, and the engine of the show is their struggle to keep their hidden community intact. Joe Strong (Jason Lewis) and Manfred Bernardo (François Arnaud) anchor the ensemble, with Olivia Charity (Arielle Kebbel), Fiji Cavanaugh (Parisa Fitz-Henley) and Lemuel Bridger (Peter Mensah) drawn into the town's shared life. Each episode brings a new outside pressure, from rowdy biker gangs to suspicious local cops, while residents also confront dangerous pasts that refuse to stay buried. The series runs for two seasons and nineteen episodes, and its tone is quiet, eerie and warm, with an offbeat sense of humor. Set in a present-day Texas small town, it is a gothic supernatural mystery built on found family and loyalty. Fans of Twin Peaks, True Blood and Buffy the Vampire Slayer will find resonance in its blend of the uncanny and the communal.
