## Synopsis

Time After Time (2017) is an American science fiction thriller series created by Kevin Williamson for ABC. Freddie Stroma plays a young H.G. Wells, who follows the charismatic and secretly psychopathic Dr. John Stevenson, played by Joshua Bowman, across time after the notorious killer escapes Victorian London authorities and surfaces in modern day New York City. Wells is an outsider in an unfamiliar century, navigating technology, customs and a city that does not know what he knows, while he tries to stop a murderer who is already hiding among ordinary people. Genesis Rodriguez plays Jane Walker, a principal character who becomes entangled in the chase, and Nicole Ari Parker and Will Chase round out the cast around the central pursuit. The series runs as a single season of five episodes, each built around the chase, the displacement of a historical mind, and the unsettling charm of a killer who blends into modern life. Its tone mixes suspense with a fish out of water sensibility, a thriller that keeps turning the question of who can be trusted. Fans of Timeless, Doctor Who and Ripper Street will find resonance in its blend of historical figures, time travel and a hunt for a notorious killer.
