## Synopsis

New Kids (2007-2010) is a Dutch comedy series created for Comedy Central, a short-form ensemble sketch comedy about a clique of antisocial friends who cause chaos across the small town of Maaskantje in Brabant, the Netherlands. The cast is led by Huub Smit as Richard Batsbak, with Flip van der Kuil as Barrie Butsers, Tim Haars as Gerrie van Boven, and Wesley van Gaalen as Rikkert Biemans anchoring the group. Each episode runs about five minutes and the show unfolds across three seasons totaling thirty-five episodes, with the friends' scheming, petty aggression, and absurd escapades forming the engine of every installment. Rather than a continuing plot, the series strings together brief bursts of mischief in which the characters clash with neighbors and the community around them. The tone is blunt, aggressive, and deadpan, with a cheeky irreverence that rewards viewers who enjoy rowdy, boundary-pushing humor. Set in a provincial Dutch town rather than a big city, it has the regional flavor of local comedy. Fans of Jackass, Little Britain, and The Inbetweeners will find resonance in its anarchic energy and unruly friendships.
