## Synopsis

Live PD (2016-2020) is an American true crime documentary series broadcast on A&E. It is built from dash cam and in-car footage shot during real police calls, following officers from urban and rural police forces as they respond to emergencies, traffic stops, and everyday disturbances across the nation. Hosted on screen by Dan Abrams, with analyst Sean Larkin and crime reporter Tom Morris providing live commentary, the show follows whatever the patrol cars encounter, so each episode unfolds as a run of unscripted incidents with no fixed plot. Its engine is the unpredictability of the street: a traffic stop can turn into a chase, a welfare check into a standoff, and the officers must make fast decisions while the cameras roll. The series runs across four seasons and well over three hundred episodes, a long-form stream of live policing rather than a story with an ending. Its tone is raw, tense, and matter-of-fact, with a documentary realism that keeps viewers close to the adrenaline and procedure of police work. Fans of Cops, The First 48, and other observational crime documentaries will find the same unvarnished look at law enforcement in action.
