## Synopsis

1 Woman 1 Man (2008-2011) is a Turkish comedy series broadcast on Turkmax, a co-production with France, running four seasons and 237 episodes of roughly thirty minutes each. Ozan Karaman (Emre Karayel) and Zeynep Yıldırım (Demet Evgar) anchor the show as a married couple whose daily routines, household habits and small disagreements form the raw material of each episode. Rather than building a plot engine, the series lets ordinary frictions play out in the rooms of a home, from morning arguments to late night confessions, and the comedy grows from the gap between how men and women expect the same moment to unfold. The overall tone is intimate, hilarious and touching, with an almost voyeuristic closeness that makes viewers feel like guests inside a marriage. Its shape is episodic and open ended, with each short segment standing on its own while the couple's history accumulates across seasons. Set in contemporary urban Turkey, it is a domestic sitcom with a warm, observational eye, the sort of show fans of Mad About You, Friends and The Office will find familiar in spirit. Couples and anyone who enjoys witty, recognisable domestic comedy will find it easy to watch together.
