## Synopsis

Sweet/Vicious (2016-2017) is an American young adult drama series created by Jennifer Kaytin Robinson for MTV. Eliza Bennett plays Jules Thomas, a college student who balances classes and parties with a secret life of vigilante justice aimed at people on her campus who have gotten away with harming others. Taylor Dearden plays Ophelia Mayer, a computer hacker whose discovery of Jules' secret pulls her into the dangerous work. Brandon Mychal Smith and Aisha Dee round out the principal cast as figures who test the pair's loyalty and nerve. The engine of the show is the tension between ordinary campus life and covert retribution, with each episode built around a new target, a new risk of exposure, and a growing friendship under strain. Running ten episodes of about 42 minutes in a single season, it is a serialized but episodic-leaning thriller with a case-driven rhythm. Set in contemporary American college life, its tone is brash, sharp and emotionally raw, with a strong focus on female solidarity and anger. Fans of Veronica Mars, Pretty Little Liars and Dexter will find resonance in its mix of teen drama, moral vengeance and clever, slightly dangerous plotting.
