## Synopsis

MECH-X4 (2016-2018) is a Canadian and American family science fiction comedy series created by Steve Marmel for Disney XD and Disney Channel. Ryan Walker (Nathaniel J. Potvin) awakens a giant robot built to defend Bay City, and he recruits his best friends and his brother Mark Walker (Raymond Cham Jr.) to help pilot it. Harris Harris Jr. (Kamran Lucas) and Spyder Johnson (Pearce Joza) bring the banter and loyalty that keep the team together, while Veracity (Alyssa Jirrels) adds a further presence across the run. The engine of the show is simple and urgent: a group of teenage friends must master a machine that is their town's only defense whenever monsters descend. Each episode pairs a monster threat with the pressures of school, family and friendship, so the stakes rise steadily from one attack to the next. The series runs for two seasons and thirty-six episodes of roughly twenty-one minutes each, a brisk, self-contained format with a growing serialized arc. Set in a contemporary American town with a sleek futuristic robot, it delivers an upbeat, playful tone with a touch of heroic earnestness. Fans of Voltron: Legendary Defender, Pacific Rim and Transformers: Robots in Disguise will find the same appeal in young heroes and giant machines.
