## Synopsis

Brave and Beautiful (2016-2017) is a Turkish melodrama series created by Ece Yörenç for Star TV, a single-season run of 32 episodes. Kıvanç Tatlıtuğ plays Cesur Alemdaroğlu, a handsome stranger who arrives in a town dominated by the Korludag family just as Sühan Korludağ, played by Tuba Büyüküstün, is threatened by a plot against her life. Tamer Levent plays Tahsin Korludağ, the feared and respected patriarch who controls every place and person in town, and Erkan Avcı plays Korhan, the son who disappoints him. The engine of the story is a dangerous romance: Cesur becomes Sühan's lover and takes the place of the heir Tahsin always wanted, while secretly nursing a vendetta against the man who rules the family. Each episode builds through jealousy, schemes inside the household, and the constant threat of exposure. Set in contemporary Turkey, the series is a sweeping soap opera in the tradition of Turkish melodrama, with a lush, emotional register of longing, betrayal and wealth. Fans of Kara Sevda, Fatmagül'ün Suçu Ne? and Dynasty will find resonance in its intimate family rivalries and forbidden passion.
