## Synopsis

My Shy Boss (2017) is a South Korean tvN romantic comedy created by Joo Hwa-mi, a single-season k-drama of sixteen 70-minute episodes. Yeon Woo-jin plays Eun Hwan-Ki, an extreme introvert who runs his company and has built a quiet, isolated life around avoiding people. That routine collapses when Park Hye-su plays Chae Ro-Woon, a cheerful new employee who seems to be an open extrovert but is hiding something about her past. The engine of the show is the slow friction of two guarded people in an ordinary Korean office: awkward meetings, overheard gossip, and small workplace obligations that gradually push the boss out of his shell. Supporting roles from Gong Seung-yeon, Ye Ji-won and Heo Jung-min widen the office circle, and the episodes lean on everyday corporate comedy alongside the quieter threads of healing and personal history. The tone is gentle, sweet and wistful, with comedy grounded in social discomfort and a romance that unfolds at an unhurried pace. Fans of Oh My Venus, Weightlifting Fairy Kim Bok-joo and What's Wrong with Secretary Kim will find similar warmth in its office romance.
