## Synopsis

Masamune-kun's Revenge (2017-2023) is a Japanese animated romantic comedy series produced by SILVER LINK. and based on the manga by Ichijinsha, airing on AT-X and TOKYO MX. Protagonist Masamune Makabe, voiced by Natsuki Hanae, returns to his hometown as a slimmed-down teenager after years of being humiliated, plotting to make the icy Aki Adagaki, voiced by Ayaka Ohashi, fall for him so he can reject her as cruelly as she once rejected him. The engine of each episode is his scheme going sideways, as his carefully staged plans collide with genuine feelings and a crowded school social circle. Supporting roles include Yoshino Koiwai (Inori Minase) and Neko Fujinomiya (Suzuko Mimori), whose rivalries and crushes complicate every plan. Across two seasons and twenty-four episodes, the story unfolds as one continuing arc rather than standalone gags. The tone is sharp and playful, mixing deadpan banter with bursts of awkward embarrassment and tender moments, set in a contemporary Japanese high school. Fans of Kaguya-sama: Love Is War and Komi Can't Communicate will find similar pleasure in the cat-and-mouse romantic scheming and flustered school crushes.
