## Synopsis

100 Deeds for Eddie McDowd (1999-2002) is a Canadian family comedy series created for Nickelodeon, a lighthearted kids' sitcom with a fantasy twist. When the school bully Eddie McDowd is transformed into a talking dog, he can only regain his human form by completing 100 good deeds, and he must rely on Justin Taylor (Brandon Gilberstadt), the boy he once tormented, who is now his owner. Justin's family, including Gwen Taylor (Morgan Kibby), Lisa Taylor (Catherine MacNeal) and Doug Taylor (William Francis McGuire), provides the household backdrop, while Eddie's voice work by Seth Green and Jason Hervey gives the dog his sardonic edge. Each episode is a self-contained case of small favors and mishaps that push Eddie toward his goal, with the comic friction of an ex-bully stuck in a dog's body. Over three seasons and forty episodes, the series keeps a brisk, warm, gently irreverent register, the kind of episodic family sitcom that suits younger viewers and parents watching together. Fans of Sabrina the Teenage Witch and Even Stevens will find resonance in its blend of magical transformation, sibling-style household comedy and redemptive moral lessons.
