## Synopsis

Mind Field (2017-2019) is an American science documentary docuseries created by Michael Stevens for YouTube Premium and YouTube Red. Host Michael Stevens, the creator of the Vsauce channel, leads each half hour episode through a sequence of questions about perception, memory, morality and decision making. He interviews researchers and tests ideas himself, sometimes alongside volunteers such as Philip Zimbardo, whose famous prison study is revisited through historical footage. The engine of the show is simple: a surprising claim about the mind is posed, then the team designs a new demonstration to test whether it holds up. Each episode is self contained, built from expert interviews, archival clips from historical experiments and staged scenes that show human nature at work. The season count is three with eight episodes each, and the series ended after its third season. The tone is curious, accessible and playful while still willing to unsettle viewers with uncomfortable findings about obedience and bias. Fans of Cosmos: A Spacetime Odyssey, Brainiac: Science Abuse and Derren Brown: Trick of the Mind will find resonance in its blend of science education and experimental spectacle.
