## Synopsis

Jeff and Some Aliens (2017) is an American adult animated comedy series created by Alessandro Minoli and Sean Donnelly for Comedy Central. Based on the recurring TripTank sketches, it follows Jeff, a deliberately unremarkable everyman, whose mundane life is upended by three alien roommates sent to study him and determine whether humanity should be destroyed. Alison, Inga and Sasha, the extraterrestrial houseguests, pressure Jeff into grueling intergalactic decathalons and bizarre rituals, and each episode turns an ordinary domestic routine into escalating chaos. Brett Gelman plays Jeff, with Alicia Silverstone as Alison, Helena Mattsson as Inga and Katie Crown as Sasha, while Alessandro Minoli voices several characters. The engine is the gap between Jeff's bland ambitions and the cosmic stakes hanging over him, played out in crude, fast, self-contained episodes. The tone is irreverent, absurdist and deliberately gross, with a deadpan streak underneath. The single ten-episode season has a sketch-comedy sensibility, and fans of Rick and Morty, Aqua Teen Hunger Force and Third Rock from the Sun will find similar cheerfully outlandish pleasures here.
