## Synopsis

Case (2015) is an Icelandic-American crime drama miniseries created by Andri Óttarsson and Þorleifur Örn Arnarsson for Stöð 2, a nordic noir thriller in the vein of The Killing, Trapped and Broadchurch. Its broken lawyer Logi, played by Magnús Jónsson, takes up the suspicious suicide of a teenage ballet prodigy in pursuit of redemption he may not deserve. Around him orbit Gabríela (Steinunn Ólína Þorsteinsdóttir), Brynhildur (Jóhanna Vigdís Arnardóttir) and Jónas (Bergur Þór Ingólfsson), each holding fragments of the dead girl's world. The engine is a quiet, stubborn inquiry in which every interview peels back another layer of a close community's silence, pressure and private shame, while Logi's own failings resurface alongside the evidence. The series unfolds across nine episodes of roughly forty-five minutes each, a single continuing story rather than a case of the week, and it moves through the tense, rain-grey atmosphere typical of Icelandic crime fiction. Its tone is bleak, deliberate and melancholic, with a steady dread that builds toward an emotionally weighted resolution. Viewers who enjoy patient, character-driven investigations set in cold, isolated towns will find this a compact and absorbing watch.
