## Synopsis

Jerks. (2017-2023) is a German comedy series created by Christian Ulmen, Casper Christensen and Frank Hvam for ProSieben and Joyn. Christian Ulmen and Fahri Yardim play fictionalized versions of themselves, two best buddies whose schemes keep spiraling into humiliation. Their engine is a restless need to push past ethics and political correctness, and each short episode of roughly twenty one minutes is built from a fresh provocation that tangles them with friends, strangers and bystanders who rarely see it coming. Across five seasons and fifty one episodes, the show stays a loosely connected run of comic setups rather than one continuing storyline. Supporting performers such as Leonore von Berg and Collien Fernandes reappear within the sketches. The tone is sharp, awkward and unapologetically irreverent, with satire aimed at social taboos and the reflex to be offended. Fans of Curb Your Enthusiasm, Borat and Jackass will find the same appetite for cringe, improvised discomfort and self mocking bravado. The comedy plays best for viewers who enjoy grown up satire that refuses to behave politely and leans into awkward, unscripted-feeling humiliation.
