## Synopsis

A mi kis falunk (2017-present) is a Hungarian national-television family sitcom broadcast on RTL, now in its tenth season with 162 episodes to date. Created by Iván Kapitány, it follows the amusing everyday life of a small, stereotypical Hungarian village. The ensemble is built around a corrupt mayor, played by Imre Csuja as Károly, alongside Zoltán Schmied as Ifj. Rádi János, Győző Szabó as Stoki, and Tamás Lengyel as Gyuri. Other principal figures include Csaba Debreczeny as Szifon, Gábor Reviczky as Janó and Rozi Lovas as Erika, with Éva Bata appearing as Teca in many episodes. The village includes a bodybuilder priest, a hot bartender, a dumb police officer and a womanizing football coach, and their rivalries and schemes drive the episodic comedy. Each episode is a self-contained slice of provincial routine, with local politics and small-scale mishaps providing the material. The tone is breezy, cozy and gently satirical, with broad stereotypes played for warmth rather than cruelty. Fans of Northern Exposure and Parks and Recreation will find a similar affection for quirky small town ensembles, and viewers of Little Britain will recognise its eye for regional caricature.
