## Synopsis

You Are Wanted (2017-2018) is a German television thriller series created by Richard Kropf and Hanno Hackfort for Prime Video. Matthias Schweighöfer plays Lukas Franke, an ordinary man whose online identity is hacked and rewritten so that he appears to be the mastermind behind a citywide blackout in Berlin. Tom Beck co-stars as Marc Wessling, and Alexandra Maria Lara plays Hanna Franke, whose faith in Lukas is tested as the authorities and the people closest to him begin to doubt his innocence. Each episode pushes Lukas further into a frantic search for the people who framed him, with digital traces, false leads and dangerous encounters driving the chase. The engine is simple and relentless: he wants his life back, and every step to prove himself exposes him to more danger. Presented as a two-season run of twelve episodes in total, the show moves at a tense, propulsive clip in a contemporary Berlin of surveillance and anxiety. Its mood is paranoid and claustrophobic, with a cold, urban sense of being watched. Fans of Mr. Robot and The Fugitive will find resonance in its portrait of an innocent man hunted through a modern city.
