## Synopsis

Too Old to Die Young (2019) is a American prestige crime limited series created by Nicolas Winding Refn and Ed Brubaker for Prime Video. Its protagonist, Los Angeles County Sheriff's Deputy Martin Jones (Miles Teller), has his life blown apart in a single night and is forced into a deadly underground of cartel soldiers, yakuza assassins and mysterious vigilantes. Across ten long episodes he is pulled deeper into a world where his own past sins close in around him, while Jesus (Augusto Aguilera), Yaritza (Cristina Rodlo) and Viggo (John Hawkes) shape the currents of his survival. The series unfolds as a single continuing story rather than a case of the week, moving through Los Angeles nights with a stylized, dreamlike pace that feels closer to an odyssey than a procedural. Its tone is dark, hypnotic and violent, with moments of mysticism and folk-tinged ritual that give the murder and vengeance a strange spiritual weight. Fans of Drive, Narcos and Only God Forgives will find resonance in its neo-noir atmosphere, its moral decay and its unsettling blend of crime and myth set in contemporary Los Angeles.
