## Synopsis

Evil Lives Here (2016-present) is an American true crime docuseries created for Investigation Discovery and running across nineteen seasons and roughly 176 episodes. Each installment follows a different real case in which an ordinary person unknowingly shared a home, bed, or workplace with a killer. Survivors, relatives, friends, and investigators sit for recorded interviews that reconstruct how the warning signs first appeared and why they were dismissed. Dramatized re-creations fill in the tense moments of suspicion, confrontation, and discovery, while police footage and case details anchor each story in the documented record. The engine of every episode is the slow realization that a trusted partner, sibling, or neighbor was hiding violence in plain sight, and the question of whether anyone could have seen it sooner. Each season works as a self-contained collection of cases, so the show suits viewers who want to dip in at any point. Its tone is grim and unsettling, with a domestic dread that lingers after each episode. Fans of The Jinx, Making a Murderer and Dateline NBC will recognize the same mix of testimony, reenactment, and investigative patience that defines the genre.
