## Synopsis

Legend Quest (2017) is a Mexican animated family adventure series produced by Ánima Estudios for Netflix, created by Jim Krieg, Jose C. Garcia de Letona and Ernie Altbacker. Its gifted teen hero Leo San Juan (voiced by Benny Emmanuel) can talk to ghosts, and he puts that skill to work when an evil force threatens his village. Teodora Villavicencio (voiced by Mayte Cordeiro) and Don Andrés (voiced by Andrés Couturier) round out the principal voice cast, while the alebrije Alebrije (voiced by Ricardo O'Farrill) and Marcella (voiced by Alondra Hidalgo) add companionship and humor. The engine of the show is simple and episodic: each of its thirteen 25-minute episodes takes on one legend, with the young hero facing a spectral or monstrous threat and drawing on local lore to resolve it. The story is a single season that moves through folklore-inspired encounters rather than one long arc. Its tone is playful and warm, with light comedy, colorful animation, and a sense of wonder about traditional stories. Fans of Gravity Falls, Trollhunters and The Ghost and Molly McGee will find resonance in its blend of spooky myth, comedic banter and young-hero adventure. The series is suitable for children and families.
