## Synopsis

Salvation (2017-2018) is an American network science fiction thriller created by Elizabeth Kruger, Craig Shapiro and Matt JL Wheeler for CBS. Pentagon official Darius Tanz (Santiago Cabrera) is handed a staggering discovery: an asteroid is only six months from colliding with Earth. Working alongside an MIT grad student and a tech superstar, he must decide who to trust while secrets are guarded inside the government and the clock keeps ticking. Principal cast includes Charlie Rowe as Liam Cole, Jennifer Finnigan as Grace Barrows and Jacqueline Byers as Jillian Hayes. Across two seasons and 26 episodes the series builds a serialized apocalypse story, with each episode adding investigation, political maneuvering and personal risk to the central mystery. The tone is tense and paranoid, with a bleak undercurrent of ordinary people confronting the end of the world. Fans of Armageddon, Extant and Dark Skies will find resonance in its blend of conspiracy, disaster stakes and institutional distrust. The series was canceled before its central story was resolved.
