## Synopsis

Re:Creators (2017) is a Japanese anime miniseries produced by TROYCA, ABC Animation, Aniplex and Shogakukan and broadcast on TOKYO MX and other regional networks. Across a single 22-episode season of roughly 25 minutes each, the series builds a fantasy battle story around the idea that characters from many fictional works have gained real intentions. Yuya Mirokuji, voiced by Kenichi Suzumura, and Sota Mizushino, voiced by Daiki Yamashita, anchor the story, while Meteora Österreich (Inori Minase) and Altair (Aki Toyosaki) carry the fight. The engine is a tense hunt: the characters must confront the creators who wrote them and decide what they owe to the people who gave them life. Each episode is made of combat set pieces, gradual reveals about who is who, and shifting alliances across the world of the story. The series is a mixed-reception meta fantasy with a sharp, action-driven tone, mixing wonder with unease. Fans of Sword Art Online, Log Horizon and Sword Art Online Alternative will find resonance in its blend of fantasy action, otaku sensibility and a gaming-flavored premise of worlds colliding. Its setting is the contemporary Japan of the broadcast years, where fictional powers break into the everyday world.
