## Synopsis

Moominvalley (2019-present) is a Finnish animated family fantasy series created by Marika Makaroff for Yle TV2. Following the curious, kind and idealistic Moomintroll (voiced by Taron Egerton and Jack Rowan), the show follows a young hero trying to work out who he truly is while remaining a cherished member of his loving family. Alongside his parents Moominmamma (Rosamund Pike) and Moominpappa (Matt Berry), his mischievous companion Little My (Bel Powley) and the wandering Snufkin (Edvin Endre) fill the valley with small adventures, friendships and everyday puzzles. Each episode is a self-contained story of roughly twenty-two minutes, and the series runs across four seasons so far. Set in the whimsical, storybook landscape of Moominvalley, a valley of quirky neighbors, forests and riverbanks, it carries a gentle, cozy and hopeful tone, with warm humor and sincere emotion. Its 3D animation has a soft, painterly charm that will appeal to fans of Bluey, Adventure Time and Avatar: The Last Airbender who want kindness, imagination and comfort in their viewing. The show gives young viewers a tender model for self-acceptance and belonging.
