## Synopsis

Bonkers (1993-1995) is an American animated police comedy series created for Disney Television Animation and carried in first-run syndication and as part of The Disney Afternoon. Bonkers Bobcat, a hot-headed and well-meaning anthropomorphic bobcat officer voiced by Jim Cummings, works the streets alongside his partner Miranda Wright, voiced by Karla DeVito, with Sgt. Grating, voiced by Ron Perlman, barking orders from the precinct. Each episode is a self-contained case-of-the-week built around a fresh mishap, from a thief's elaborate scheme to a neighborhood mix-up, with Bonkers' exuberant overreactions and physical gags driving the chaos. The single season runs 65 episodes of thirty minutes each, a family-friendly 1990s cartoon with bright color, rapid pacing and cheerful, goofy energy. Its tone is breezy and silly, with a kids-first sensibility that rewards young viewers while keeping adults entertained by the slapstick and the rapport between characters. Fans of Tiny Toon Adventures, Darkwing Duck and Gargoyles will find similar comic energy and Disney Afternoon nostalgia.
