## Synopsis

Queen of the Ring (2017) is a South Korean fantasy romantic comedy series created for MBC and NAVER TV, a single-season limited run of six half-hour episodes. Mo Nam-hee (Kim Seul-gi) is a young woman whose unflattering appearance has hardened her into a sharp-tongued, spiteful figure. When she receives an old ring that carries a hidden family secret, the magic it holds pushes the handsome but cold-blooded Park Se-gun (Ahn Hyo-seop) to declare her his ideal woman, sending the playboy into a romance he never chose. The engine of the show is the tension between the enchanted affection and the real feelings it cannot manufacture, while rivals, jealous acquaintances and family history complicate every step. Each episode moves briskly through comic misunderstandings, social pettiness and small reversals, with a light, wry tone that softens into forgiveness and self-acceptance. Set in contemporary South Korea, the story stays grounded in everyday workplace and family life while a touch of the supernatural drives its plot. Fans of My Girlfriend Is a Gumiho and Cinderella and Four Knights will find the same blend of magic, rivalry and romance, delivered in the efficient, emotionally warm style of a Korean television romance.
