## Synopsis

I'm Your Destiny (2017) is a Japanese romantic comedy series that aired on Nippon Television Network across ten 45-minute episodes in a single season. Kazuya Kamenashi plays Makoto Masaki, a twenty-nine-year-old single man who is visited by a mysterious figure (Tomohisa Yamashita) claiming to be God and informed that his destined partner works in the apartment next door. The woman in question is Haruko Kogetsu, played by Fumino Kimura, who has no idea that the two have repeatedly crossed paths since childhood at beaches and shrines. The engine of the show is the comedy of fate pushing two reluctant, hapless adults toward each other while they stumble through everyday workplace and neighborhood mishaps. Supporting cast members including Shinnosuke Mitsushima, Nanao and Eri Watanabe add colleagues, friends and rivals who complicate the courtship. Each episode is a self-contained slice of awkward flirtation and mild misunderstanding rather than a dense plot. The tone is light, whimsical and warm, with a sweet undercurrent about timing and chance. Fans of Kimi ni Todoke and Kamisama Kiss will find resonance in its gentle supernatural romance and playful sense of destiny.
