## Synopsis

Boruto: Naruto Next Generations (2017-present) is a Japanese animated shonen anime series created for TV Tokyo and produced by Pierrot, a sequel and spin-off of the Naruto franchise. Boruto Uzumaki, son of the Seventh Hokage Naruto Uzumaki (voiced by Junko Takeuchi), enrolls in the Ninja Academy to learn the ways of the shinobi, and he is joined by classmates such as Sarada Uchiha (Cocoro Kikuchi) and Mitsuki (Ryuichi Kijima). Their drive to prove themselves in a world that is changing around them pushes each story forward, with training, missions and escalating battles giving the series its momentum. Shikadai Nara (Kensho Ono) and Shikamaru Nara (Showtaro Morikubo) add tactical weight to the ensemble. The series is an ongoing, long-running ninja adventure with a bright, earnest energy and a steady sense of rivalry and friendship. Fans of Naruto, My Hero Academia and Dragon Ball Super will find the same mix of shonen spectacle and coming-of-age heart here.
